Anointing OF the Sick
The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and Viaticum, like the sacrament of Reconciliation, is a sacrament of healing. Anyone who is sick or suffering from physical or mental illnesses can ask to be anointed. This sacrament is primarily an experience of physical and spiritual healing, and is not strictly for people who are dying.
