Food Pantry Ministry
Mission Statement
To feed as many people within the community and surrounding areas in need of services.
The food pantry serves St. Katharine by providing food and outreach to parishioners and their families as well as the surrounding communities.
The most important aspect about the food pantry ministry is to keep donations ongoing for people in the community.  Providing outreach for people in need of social interaction.  Providing a listening ear to clients who need trusting support in sharing their lives.  Staying connected with people on a community level.  Development of community trust, friendship and the building up of relationships.
Membership includes Directors of the food pantry, volunteers, clients, food bank, parishes and supermarkets.
The qualifications for membership are reliability, honesty, consistency and yearly member service contacts.
The food pantry ministry meets weekly and biweekly with clients and biweekly with the food bank.
